Mizzou’s Final Game Against Easy Team
The Missouri Tigers wrap up the easy portion of their schedule this afternoon against the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats.
After today’s matchup, every remaining opponent on Mizzou’s schedule ranks in the top 90 in KenPom.
Tigers Not Good ATS
The Tigers had a close call last time out with an 85-77 win over lowly Alabama State. It was their fifth straight loss against the spread, dropping them to 4-7 against the number this season.
The Tigers are scoring a lot despite their poor ATS record, as they average 87.2 points per game.
Wildcats Poor Defensively
Bethune-Cookman is coming off an 80-59 win over South Carolina State in its last game. South Carolina State is a team that Missouri beat by 32 points for comparison’s sake.
The Wildcats have seen quality opponents put up big point totals against them. Bethune-Cookman has allowed 95 to Auburn, 101 to Miami (FL), 91 to Dayton, and 100 to Indiana.
My Lean
If forced to make a bet on this game, I’d take Mizzou to go over its team total. It’s hard to have confidence in the Tigers to cover the spread with the ATS run they are on. But when looking at Mizzou’s season average for points and what Bethune-Cookman has done defensively against good competition, the Tigers scoring at least 84 points seems very attainable.
Lean: Missouri team total over 83.5 at -120 on DraftKings
