If you’re going to bet this one, I think the Blues are the move as a price play.
The Lightning and Panthers are two very even teams, separated by just one point in the standings. So why were the Panthers just a -175 favorite on Saturday while the Lightning are priced up as a massive -238 favorite tonight? I don’t understand that.
Odds of -238 is an implied probability of Tampa Bay winning this game 70.4% of the time. I think the Blues win this game more than 30% of the time, in particular with the current form the Lightning are in. The Blues have also been profitable as an underdog this season, going 12-10 on the moneyline when they are a dog.
