Week of Feb. 2–9, 2026
The Blues pipeline delivered a busy week across every level with a depth trade, a milestone goal‑scoring surge in the QMJHL, a shorthanded dagger in the OHL, and a hat trick on one of Russia’s biggest stages. Even with several prospects quiet on the scoresheet, the week offered meaningful development notes and a handful of standout performances.
Pipeline Movement: Blues Acquire Thomas Bordeleau
St. Louis made its pre‑Olympic break move by sending Nick Bjugstad to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 2026 fourth‑round pick and Thomas Bordeleau, a 24‑year‑old forward with both NHL and AHL experience.

Bordeleau arrives with 44 NHL games and nearly 200 AHL games, producing 49 goals and 115 points at the minor‑league level. He played two games for Springfield this week (0 PTS, 6 SOG) and immediately becomes one of the more seasoned forwards in the system.
Top Performers
Justin Carbonneau — RW, QMJHL
3 GP — 3G, 2A, 5 PTS | 16 SOG | 2 PPG
Et de 4⃣0⃣ pour Justin Carbonneau! 🤩

Carbonneau hit a major milestone this week:
His first goal on Saturday was his 40th of the season. He added No. 41 later that night, putting him just five goals shy of matching last year’s 46‑goal total. His week included a two‑goal performance, a multi‑point night in Gatineau, and 16 shots across three games. Carbonneau continues to pace the Blues’ prospect pool in raw production and goal‑scoring consistency.
Lukas Fischer — D, OHL
3 GP — 1G, 1A, 2 PTS | 9 SOG | SHG
Fischer’s goal this week was a shorthanded strike, pushing the Greyhounds ahead 2–0 in the first period of a 5–2 win. It was a perfect example of his growing confidence: reading a pass, jumping the lane, and finishing in transition. He added an assist in Saginaw and logged a +1 week overall. Fischer continues to trend upward as a two‑way threat.
Arseni Koromyslov — D, KHL
1 GP — 0G, 2A, 2 PTS | +2 | 17:13 TOI
A single game, but a highly efficient one. Koromyslov recorded two assists in a 4–0 win and logged over 17 minutes of steady, controlled KHL play. His ability to generate offense in limited touches remains one of his most intriguing traits.
Will Cranley — G, ECHL
3 GP — 2W — 51/55 SV — .927 SV%

Cranley delivered one of his strongest stretches of the season. A 32‑save OT win on Saturday after a rough 19/22 outing earlier in the week vs. Atlanta. Despite the first outing of the week, Cranley tracked pucks well, controlled rebounds, and gave Florida stability in net.
Spotlight Performances
Matvei Korotky — C, KHL / U23 All‑Star Game
KHL: 2 GP — 0G, 1A | 32:54 TOI
U23 All‑Star Game: Hat Trick

Korotky’s club week was quiet, but the real headline came at the U23 KHL All‑Star Game, where he scored a hat trick. Showcase games can be noisy, but finishing three times against top peers is a meaningful signal of skill and confidence. It’s a strong development marker for a player whose tools continue to flash.
Adam Jecho — RW/C, WHL
2 GP — 0G, 1A | Returned from injury
Jecho returned after missing five games and immediately reclaimed his spot on the second‑line right wing. He picked up an assist in a 4–2 win and looked comfortable re‑entering the lineup. This week was more about rhythm and reintegration than raw production.
Adam Jiříček — D, OHL
3 GP — 0 PTS | 10 SOG

Jiříček and the Brantford Bulldogs clinched a postseason berth, securing their spot in the OHL playoffs. His week was scoreless, but he logged heavy minutes, generated shots, and continues to be leaned on in defensive matchups. His role will only grow as Brantford prepares for playoff hockey.
Quick Thoughts on This Week’s Steady Contributors

A goal and assist in Dallas, another assist in Nashville. Efficient week despite low‑event underlying numbers. He carries a six-game point streak heading into the Olympic break with three goals and nine points while averaging around 17-18 minutes per night.
William McIsaac — D, WHL
3 GP — 2G, 0A, 2 PTS | +1 | 10 SOG
Two goals from the back end, including a +2 performance in Wenatchee. With over 250 games now in the WHL, he continues to show why he’s leadership material.
Michael Buchinger — D, AHL
3 GP — 1G, 1A, 2 PTS | 5 SOG
All his production came Thursday; the weekend was quieter with the Thunderbirds now riding a four-game winless streak.
Antoine Dorion — RW, QMJHL
2 GP — 1G, 1A, 2 PTS | 4 SOG | 1 PPG
Low‑event week but productive in both games. Dorion now carries points in back to back games with two goals and six points in his last 10 games.
Aleksanteri Kaskimäki — C, AHL
3 GP — 1G | 5 SOG | 1 PPG
Scored Thursday, quiet in the back‑to‑back. The Thunderbirds will need Kaskimäki to step up his offensive game to help get back on track.
